Motion Talk 12 | Forza Horizon

In this episode we briefly cover the principles of garbage in = garbage out. In computer science, this means that you cannot get good outputs from bad inputs.

Forza Horizon, Gran Turismo and other console games have amazing rich content, graphics, sounds and story lines, but this as the compromise of physics models, tire models and properly modeled 3D environments. It's an amazing accomplishment that is intended for the mass audience. It is actually very surprising how well the motion and telemetry (same as Forza Horizon 5) comes through the Sigma Motion system. Certain elements and nuance is definitely missing, which was previously provided with canned effects, but the overall experience is much better with a motion or haptic system than without.
